Welcome to The Briarwood in Wonderful Cheyenne Wyoming
A bit about me and the Briarwood..
I live in Southeastern Wyoming on a small would-be farm. I work in the medical field full time and find the farm and the dogs a wonderful outlet to the stresses of the day.
The dogs primarily serve as my companions and protectors. They keep the critters at bay and provide lots of snuggles on those cold Wyoming winter nights.
I’ve been involved in showing and breeding dogs for over 20 years, handling and or owning a large variety of breeds. It’s during that time where I discovered the English Shepherd breed. They are the most versatile dogs I’ve ever worked with.
My focus in breeding is to create a dog that is true to the breed standard, sound in body and mind, biddable, capable of doing all of the jobs that they were developed to do.
Briarwood pups have gone to a variety of different homes. A working dairy farm, another trained as a therapy dog. Most of the pups have gone to companion homes where they were interested in hiking and sofa buddies. One is nanny for a family with 6 small children, while there are others who work on small farms with kids, chickens and ducks. They really are all around dogs and are well suited for working on a farm or being your best friend.
Welcome to Briarwood English Shepherds!
